Eastlake Baseball League

League Specific COVID Procedures

These are the current procedures for all Eastlake Baseball League practices, games, and any other event and are subject to change as required by changes in State or local regulations and changes in guidance; changes may also occur due to unforeseen circumstances.

Players
  • must conduct daily symptom checks before each game or practice; if symptomatic, player must stay home
  • must maintain six-foot social distancing, where possible
  • may not congregate before or after practices or games
  • if nine years or older, must wear face coverings when not on the field of play unless the player has a medical condition that contraindicates the wearing of a facial covering and submits written justification as required by State order or while seated and actively consuming a beverage
  • must not physically contact each other before or after practice, pregame, or competitive play; physical contact during competitive play is allowed insofar as required for competition
  • must not share equipment, food, water or any other drink, towels, face coverings.

Coaches & Volunteers

  • must conduct daily symptom checks before each game or practice; if symptomatic, player must stay home
  • must maintain six-foot social distancing, where possible
  • may not congregate before or after practices or games
  • must wear face coverings at all times
  • must not physically contact each other before or after practice, pregame, or competitive play
  • ensure proper separation of equipment and personal items
  • if sharing of equipment is absolutely necessary, sanitize equipment thoroughly between uses
  • must participate in COVID-19 education and educate their players, as appropriate for their age, on how to prevent the spread of the disease

Officials

  • must conduct daily symptom checks before each game or practice; if symptomatic, player must stay home
  • must maintain six-foot social distancing, where possible
  • may not congregate before or after practices or games
  • must wear face coverings at all times
  • must not physically contact each other before or after practice, pregame, or competitive play

Spectators

  • must conduct daily symptom checks before each game or practice; if symptomatic, player must stay home
  • must maintain six-foot social distancing, where possible
  • may not congregate before or after practices or games
  • if nine years or older, must wear face coverings unless seated and actively consuming food or beverage
  • must not physically contact each other before or after practice, pregame, or competitive play
  • must sit in groups with their family or household members only, and maintain social distancing from other groups

Eastlake Baseball League

  • will provide markers to encourage social distancing
  • will provide hand sanitizer in additional, convenient locations for players, coaches, volunteers, officials, and spectators
  • will post signage to remind players, coaches, volunteers, officials, and spectators to sanitize or wash hands frequently
  • will post signage to remind players, coaches, volunteers, officials, and spectators to wear face coverings
  • will sanitize high-touch areas regularly
  • will increase normal cleaning frequency
THE EASTLAKE BASEBALL LEAGUE IS ONLY CONCERNED WITH ENSURING THAT ALL PLAYERS CAN HAVE A FULL SEASON THIS YEAR!
